Become a Motivation Master

FitMarker.com Review

So I was asked to be a beta tester for this site http://www.fitmarker.com. It’s from Fit Jerk (who I’ve posted about on my blog before) and JCD Fitness. So I’ve checked out the site here’s what I think:

What It Is:

It’s basically a site like Digg or Del.icio.us except just for fitness stuff. So if you’re a fitness fanatic, it’s a great place to keep updated on the latest stuff.

Quality of the Site:

It seems to so far have some pretty good content so far. As the site grows in popularity it may get spammy, but who knows. I’d never heard of JC before I was contacted for the beta test, but from what I know of FJ he won’t put up with crap, so hopefully the site will stay top notch.

My First Impressions:

If you’ve got a fitness blog and you want to post content it’s nice that there are a lot

My First Book Is On Amazon.com! (Special “Launch” Bonuses!)

Hey everyone,

A few weeks ago I wrote a book and submitted it to be published on Amazon. I’ve got a proof copy and it looks great, so now after a few weeks of waiting my first book is officially available for purchase on Amazon.com!

The title of my book is Everyday Fitness for Everyday People and the purpose of the book is to simplify getting in better shape by giving you 50 tips & habits for improving your lifestyle & helping you get & stay in better shape.

It’s nothing really groundbreaking and it’s not some new diet. It’s not for hardcore people or people who are in fairly good shape already. The thing that separates my book from all the others is it provides you with habits that you can form & I share advice on creating habits. 4 Minute Mile Goal Progress Update

It’s now been a week since I made my goal to run a 4 minute mile by my birthday – August 17, 2010. Here’s an update on my progress:

Beginning mile time: 13 minutes

Current best mile time: 6 minutes 36 seconds

I actually got that best mile time last wednesday. Yep. Just 24 hours after I made the goal. However, I haven’t been able to cut it down at all for a number of reasons:

1. On thursday I drove up to Airdrie to visit my family. They live out in the country (on gravel roads) and it’s been raining for weeks. I don’t run on gravel roads because they are hard on your ankles and knees. Plus muddy gravel roads are definitely a no go.
