Valslide Exercises Part 3

By Shawn Horwood On February 12, 2010 Under Fitness Equipment, Valslide

Here are the links in case you haven’t seen Valslide Exercises parts 1 & 2:

Valslide Exercises Part 1

Valslide Exercises Part 2

And here are 5 new exercises for you (be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you think!)

Valslide Reverse Lunge:

The Valslide Reverse Lunge exercise is simple. Stand with feet together, placing the ball of one of your feet on a Valslide. Slide your foot back until your planted leg is at a 90 degree angle. Slide your foot back to the starting position. Throughout the lunge, focus on using the planted to let your body down and push yourself back up. The sliding leg is just going along for the ride.

Valslide Side Lunge:

To perform the Valslide Side Lunge, stand with feet shoulder width apart, one foot flat on the Valslide. Slide your foot out to the side, keeping your planted leg vertical but allow it to bend sitting back into a squat. Slide your foot back in, coming back to a standing position. Again, focus on using the planted leg to let yourself down and push yourself back up & keep your toes pointing forward at all times.

Valslide Curtsey Squat:

The Valslide Curtsey Squat requires a little more balance than some of the other exercises, so if you have trouble the first couple of times don’t worry about it. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart and place the ball of one foot on the Valslide. Slide your foot behind you towards the opposite side of your body. Your planted leg will bend at a 90 degree angle, at which point you will be in a curtsey. Slide your foot back up to a standing position, focusing on using your planted leg to do the work.

Valslide Spider Climbs:

Spider climbs are just like mountain climbers except you pull your knee up and out away from your body, rather than straight up to your chest.

Valslide Jack-Knife Push Up Combo:

Just do a jack knife and then a push up. Pretty self explanatory.

Tomorrow I will have demonstrations of the Valslide Push Up Fly (Both Hands), Valslide Advanced Push Up Fly & Advanced Push Up Fly (Both Hands), Valslide Mountain Climber Push Up Combo & The Valslide Spiderman Push Up (if it doesn’t break you, no Valslide exercise will).

Please post your comments below! At the end of this series of Valslide posts (there will be a few more) and a contest I’m going to hold at the end of February, I am going to choose one person who commented on any of the Valslide posts to receive a free Valslide. So please share your comments below! (If the commenter already has a Valslide, I will reimburse them for it).
